LIFEGUARD TRAINING 

Red Cross Lifeguard Certification Class open to anyone 16 years or older. Must be able to swim 300 yards using crawl stroke, sidestroke, elementary backstroke, breaststroke, and to tread water for 2 minutes using legs only. Written test and Rescue test will be given. First Aid and CPR class will be included in cost.

Safe Sitter Class

Safe Sitter is a program that teaches boys and girls ages 11-13 how to handle major and minor emergencies, basic childcare and how to be an ethical babysitter. Each class is a 6 hour one time class. Dates-July and December TBA
 
Fee:Member $35 Non-Member $45 
*Pre-registration is required. Must have at least 10 students by deadline to hold class.
 

Maysville Community & Technical College Courses

Course & Section Number: KHP 100 9051

Instructor, Autumn Williamson

Office Hours: MW 11:00 am - 7:00 pm

       TTH 10:00 am - 3:00 pm

Instruction in a variety of motor skill activities. Courses are designed for students at a beginner level. Up to six hours credit may be earned in service courses; however, the same activity may not be repeated fro credit. 

Students will work independently as assigned under the supervision of the instructor.

Examination and Grading Policy:

Each session you attend will be worth 1 point, with a maximum of 16 sessions. In addition, you must complete a body composition with the Fitness Director, as well as attend one of the mandatory orientations on site at the YMCA. Your grade scale will be as follows:
